Why Choose Meetup Travel

Why travelers choose Meetup — and never book alone again

Most tours in Vietnam take you to the same temples and the same restaurants. The difference between a forgettable trip and one you'll talk about for years is what happens in the space between the planned moments — and that's exactly where Meetup operates.

Three things no one else gives you

  • You go home with high-quality memories — no extra photographer, no extra fee.
Why Meetup exists

We only do inbound — and it changes everything

Most operators sell travel in every direction, to every market. Meetup was built for one purpose: showing Vietnam — its people, its culture, its hidden corners — to international friends. Because that's all we do, everything below is possible.

"You don't need to do anything — we do everything."
Our promise to every guest, at every stage of the journey.
1
Planning

Built around you,
step by step

  • We ask you around 30 in-depth questions — a plan can only fit you if we truly understand you.

  • A whole team of specialists reviews your call and designs the best plan — not just one consultant.

  • A transparent 5-step process: overall plan & estimate → deposit → detailed itinerary & clear quote → payment → handover to operations.

2
Before your tour

Everything confirmed,
nothing forgotten

  • One platform handles your whole trip — flights, hotels, guides, and internal coordination in a single system.

  • Our operations team calls you 3 days before departure to re-check every detail, so nothing is left to chance.

3
On tour

A team beside you,
every day

  • It's a team, not one person — our customer care team supports you from 6:00 to midnight (GMT+7).

  • Guides who truly take care of you — and make sure you go home with great photos.

The promise, in writing

Six commitments that back it up

Each commitment below states exactly what it covers and which tours it applies to — no blanket promises, just measurable standards you can hold us to.

01

30-Minute Fix. Or Your Day Is Free.

Private Tours

Something goes wrong on a tour — a vehicle is late, a guide underperforms, the restaurant isn't what was promised. In most cases, the traveler's only recourse is to send an email and wait.

On Meetup private tours, any issue with transportation, your tour guide, or food must be resolved within 30 minutes of you reporting it. We dispatch a replacement vehicle or guide, we change the restaurant — whatever it takes. If we can't resolve it within 30 minutes, we refund 100% of that tour day's cost.

02

Your Safety Net Is Already Paid For

All Packages

Most tour companies offer travel insurance as an optional add-on — priced separately, understood by almost no one, and purchased by very few.

Travel insurance from PVI Insurance Corporation is included in every package — coverage up to 30,000,000 VND (~$1,200) per person for accidental death, permanent disablement, medical expenses, and lost luggage. You didn't add it. You didn't pay extra. It was there from the moment you booked.

Guides Who Don't Take You Shopping

Ba Na Hills Group Tour

Here's how most group tours in Vietnam work: operators pay guides below-market rates, and guides supplement their income by steering groups through commission-paying souvenir shops. A 30–45 minute shopping stop is an industry standard on Ba Na Hills tours and many others.

On our Ba Na Hills group tour, Meetup pays guides a full, above-market daily rate. There is no financial incentive to take you shopping — so we don't. Every minute other groups spend in a lacquerware shop is a minute you spend on Ba Na Hills.

Stay Connected From the Moment You Land

All Guests · From Day 1

The first hour in a new country is often the most disorienting. The airport is busy, the SIM kiosk has a queue, and your phone has no data.

Every guest receives a complimentary 4G LTE pocket WiFi router and power bank on arrival — no purchase, no setup. Use it across all your devices for the entire trip, return it when your journey ends. That's roughly $10 per person you'd otherwise spend on an eSIM or local data plan.

05

Come Home With Photos Worth Framing

Danang · Phu Quoc · Sapa

On most tours, getting a good photo of yourself at a landmark means handing your phone to a stranger and hoping for the best.

Meetup guides on Sapa tours are trained in photography — composition, light, timing — and carry a Sony A6000 with a Sigma lens. No separate photographer to hire, no schedules to coordinate, no extra fee — the kind of private photographer that would cost around $100 a day elsewhere.

Independent travel photographers in Vietnam typically charge $100/day or more. On our Danang, Phu Quoc and Sapa tours, it's already part of what your guide does — and we're rolling it out to more destinations.
06

Fluent English Across Every Touchpoint

Every Tour & Touchpoint

A language barrier at the wrong moment — describing a food allergy, fixing a booking issue, understanding the history of a site you're standing in — is more than frustrating. It's a failure of service.

Our entire team communicates in fluent English: the consultant handling your inquiry, the care team available through midnight (GMT+7), and the guides with you daily. They discuss historical narratives, navigate spontaneous requests, and hold a conversation over dinner. The standard: you should never need a translation app.

The Moment It Mattered

What a commitment looks like at 7am on a highway

On a private tour to Ninh Binh, the van broke down on the highway at 7am. The guest messaged us at 7:04. By 7:31 — just 27 minutes later — a replacement vehicle was on site, inside our 30-minute commitment.

This kind of story can't be faked — and travelers know it.

If we ever miss the 30 minutesSlower than 30 minutes — even if the vehicle arrives at minute 35 — and that tour is fully refunded, no questions asked. The delay is on us, yet we still send the vehicle and get you on the road that day.

The people behind your trip

Great trips come down to great people

A great itinerary is easy to find. A team that treats your trip like their own is rarer — and you’ll feel the difference from your first message to your last day in Vietnam.

Passion, not commission

From 2026, Meetup’s own people lead private tours in Hanoi and Saigon. They learn your trip by heart — and they’re there for the love of it, never to steer you into a souvenir shop.

One team, the whole journey

Reach out before, during, or after your trip and you’ll talk to people who already know it inside out — no starting over, no being passed from one desk to the next.

Real people, real care

We’re building a team of 100 guides who genuinely love what they do. That’s warm, personal care — the kind no chatbot or call-centre script can match.

Nothing slips through the cracks

From your first message to the photos waiting after you fly home, your whole trip lives on one system — every detail tracked, every quote and picture a click away.

A note from our founder

When I started Meetup, I kept hearing the same thing from travelers: they arrived in Vietnam full of excitement, then spent the whole trip a little on edge — unsure who to trust, worried about being overcharged, feeling on their own the moment something went wrong.

That is the part we set out to fix. Travel with us and you get a real person who is genuinely responsible for your days here — someone you can reach in minutes, and who would honestly rather lose a booking than have you feel pushed into one.

So there is no rush. Take your time, read what our guests have to say, and reach out whenever it feels right. We will be here.

How every trip begins

Start With Your Story.
We'll Build the Trip.

Every traveler who books with Meetup begins the same way — not with a form, not with a price list, but with a conversation. You tell us who you are, what matters to you, and what you are hoping to feel by the end of it. We take it from there.
