Most tours in Vietnam take you to the same temples and the same restaurants. The difference between a forgettable trip and one you'll talk about for years is what happens in the space between the planned moments — and that's exactly where Meetup operates.
Most operators sell travel in every direction, to every market. Meetup was built for one purpose: showing Vietnam — its people, its culture, its hidden corners — to international friends. Because that's all we do, everything below is possible.
We ask you around 30 in-depth questions — a plan can only fit you if we truly understand you.
A whole team of specialists reviews your call and designs the best plan — not just one consultant.
A transparent 5-step process: overall plan & estimate → deposit → detailed itinerary & clear quote → payment → handover to operations.
One platform handles your whole trip — flights, hotels, guides, and internal coordination in a single system.
Our operations team calls you 3 days before departure to re-check every detail, so nothing is left to chance.
It's a team, not one person — our customer care team supports you from 6:00 to midnight (GMT+7).
Guides who truly take care of you — and make sure you go home with great photos.
Each commitment below states exactly what it covers and which tours it applies to — no blanket promises, just measurable standards you can hold us to.
Something goes wrong on a tour — a vehicle is late, a guide underperforms, the restaurant isn't what was promised. In most cases, the traveler's only recourse is to send an email and wait.
Most tour companies offer travel insurance as an optional add-on — priced separately, understood by almost no one, and purchased by very few.
Here's how most group tours in Vietnam work: operators pay guides below-market rates, and guides supplement their income by steering groups through commission-paying souvenir shops. A 30–45 minute shopping stop is an industry standard on Ba Na Hills tours and many others.
The first hour in a new country is often the most disorienting. The airport is busy, the SIM kiosk has a queue, and your phone has no data.
On most tours, getting a good photo of yourself at a landmark means handing your phone to a stranger and hoping for the best.
A language barrier at the wrong moment — describing a food allergy, fixing a booking issue, understanding the history of a site you're standing in — is more than frustrating. It's a failure of service.
On a private tour to Ninh Binh, the van broke down on the highway at 7am. The guest messaged us at 7:04. By 7:31 — just 27 minutes later — a replacement vehicle was on site, inside our 30-minute commitment.
This kind of story can't be faked — and travelers know it.
If we ever miss the 30 minutesSlower than 30 minutes — even if the vehicle arrives at minute 35 — and that tour is fully refunded, no questions asked. The delay is on us, yet we still send the vehicle and get you on the road that day.
The commitment table below applies to Meetup private tours. It covers what triggers a resolution, what the resolution is, and what happens in force majeure conditions.
| Issue | How to Report | Resolution | Force Majeure |
|---|---|---|---|
| Poor vehicle quality (old model, broken A/C, non-reclining seats, smoky interior) | Send photos/video within 30 minutes of boarding | Within 30 minReplacement vehicle or driver dispatched | Highway breakdown: resolution extended to 1–2 hours |
| Driver attitude or safety violations (reckless driving, phone use, demanding tips, refusing to assist with luggage) | Report immediately | Within 30 minReplacement dispatched | |
| Late arrival or wrong pickup point | Report immediately when past scheduled time | Within 30 minReal-time route update + replacement vehicle |
| Issue | How to Report | Resolution | Force Majeure |
|---|---|---|---|
| Incorrect information, superficial commentary, not assisting with photos, lacking Local Friend spirit | Report at tour start, or within 30 minutes of journey beginning | Within 30 minReplacement guide dispatched | Long-distance tours: up to 1–2 hours |
| Language barrier — guide does not meet committed fluency level | Report at tour start | Within 30 minReplacement dispatched | |
| Inappropriate attire or unprofessional attitude | Report immediately | Within 30 minReplacement dispatched | |
| Itinerary changes — skipping attractions, changing order without reason, arriving late | Report within 5–10 minutes of discovering the change | Meetup works with the guide directly to ensure all planned destinations are visited |
| Issue | How to Report | Resolution | Force Majeure |
|---|---|---|---|
| Food quality — too salty/spicy, incorrect order, cold food, poor presentation | Report immediately after dish is served (having consumed no more than 20%) | Restaurant remakes the dish or changes the restaurant | Less-developed tourist areas: up to 1–2 hours |
| Dining environment — excessive heat, noise, insects | Report within 30 minutes of arriving at the restaurant | ImmediatelyRestaurant changed | |
| Restaurant service — waiting over 30 minutes, staff exhibiting discriminatory or rude behavior | Report immediately | ImmediatelyRestaurant changed |
If something doesn't meet the standard described here, we fix it within 30 minutes — or refund 100% of that tour day. In writing, before you book.
Applies to Meetup Private ToursDifferent products come with different rules. Here is exactly what applies to multi-day packages and to day tours — written the way we'd explain it on a call.

TripadvisorReal guests, on camera — pick the story closest to your trip.
* Placeholder frames — embed real guest videos here (YouTube/Reels), matched to each market.
A great itinerary is easy to find. A team that treats your trip like their own is rarer — and you’ll feel the difference from your first message to your last day in Vietnam.
From 2026, Meetup’s own people lead private tours in Hanoi and Saigon. They learn your trip by heart — and they’re there for the love of it, never to steer you into a souvenir shop.
Reach out before, during, or after your trip and you’ll talk to people who already know it inside out — no starting over, no being passed from one desk to the next.
We’re building a team of 100 guides who genuinely love what they do. That’s warm, personal care — the kind no chatbot or call-centre script can match.
From your first message to the photos waiting after you fly home, your whole trip lives on one system — every detail tracked, every quote and picture a click away.
Registered in Vietnam, operating nationwide from our Hanoi headquarters — with official payment channels in the currencies our guests use most.
Reach a real person, visit a real office, pay through official channels.
* Sample registration & account details for layout — replace with official information before publishing.
Real doors in both ends of the country — every destination operated by our own team, not outsourced.
Official accounts held under MEETUP TRAVEL SOLUTIONS CO., LTD in 13 countries — pay locally, no international wire fees. Tap your country for full transfer details.
More countries — New Zealand, Mexico, Israel and others. Message us and we'll send the local account for your country.
Most accounts are held under MEETUP TRAVEL SOLUTIONS COMPANY LIMITED; a few are held via our payment partner Airwallex and show that name instead. Always confirm the account name matches exactly what is listed above for your country before sending — we never change account details by email mid-payment. Live exchange rates apply at the time of payment.
When I started Meetup, I kept hearing the same thing from travelers: they arrived in Vietnam full of excitement, then spent the whole trip a little on edge — unsure who to trust, worried about being overcharged, feeling on their own the moment something went wrong.
That is the part we set out to fix. Travel with us and you get a real person who is genuinely responsible for your days here — someone you can reach in minutes, and who would honestly rather lose a booking than have you feel pushed into one.
So there is no rush. Take your time, read what our guests have to say, and reach out whenever it feels right. We will be here.
Every traveler who books with Meetup begins the same way — not with a form, not with a price list, but with a conversation. You tell us who you are, what matters to you, and what you are hoping to feel by the end of it. We take it from there.

No template. No guesswork. No moment where you have to figure anything out alone.
